"Transmedia Labworks: ρους" is the outcome of the "Music Theatre Lab" educational program, organised by the GNO. The Lab’s purpose was to investigate new possibilities of expressiveness and performativity in the field of music theatre through the introduction of digital technology. To that end, the Lab aimed at producing a unified, audiovisual piece that incorporates performative and interactive elements, designed for the Alternative Stage of the GNO .
The Lab participants were organised in two groups, focusing on audio and visual aspects respectively. They had the opportunity to learn and experiment with advanced digital and computational media, tools, approaches and equipment, while addressing conceptual, compositional and technical issues.
The audio and visual groups collaborated by dynamically exchanging digital information in order to produce an immersive and altering audiovisual landscape, which visitors can experience spatially and shape collectively.
The Lab’s coordination and tutoring was performed by Stavros Gasparatos for the audio group and Tassos Kanellos and Anna Laskari for the visual group.
